An true home designer is somebody who plans, researches, coordinates, and manages such projects. home design is a multifaceted profession which includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, development, research, connecting with the stakeholders of your project, engineering management, and execution of the look.

In 1882, the London Index of the Post Office outlined 80 home decorators. Some of the most recognized companies of the period were Crace, Waring & Gillow and Holland & Sons; famous decorators utilized by these organizations included Thomas Edward Collcutt, Edward William Godwin, Charles Barry, Gottfried Semper, and George Edmund Road.
