Some of the most recognized companies of the period were Crace, Waring & Gillow and Holland & Sons; famous decorators utilized by these firms included Thomas Edward Collcutt, Edward William Godwin, Charles Barry, Gottfried Semper, and George Edmund Neighborhood.
